Norman Gary Finkelstein (born December 8, 1953) is an American political scientist and author, whose primary fields of research are the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the politics of the Holocaust. 
Amidst considerable public debate, Finkelstein was denied tenure at DePaul in June 2007, and placed on administrative leave for the 2007-2008 academic year. Among the controversial aspects of this decision were attempts by Alan Dershowitz, a notable opponent of Finkelstein's, to derail Finkelstein's tenure bid.


In this video you see Dr Norman Finkelstein speaking at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. A question is posed from a Zionist. She attempts to invoke the Holocaust to criticize Dr Finkelstein, oblivious to Dr Finkelstein's own family history. "Whilst initially somewhat ambushed after the question, due to her fellow Zionist supporters shouting Dr Finkelstein down, he quickly takes control of the situation and leaves her with no comeback."


My thoughts: What the Nazis did to the Jews was indeed evil but that doesn't give today's Zionist Israelis the right to "get even" with the Palestinians. The American media is very one-sided and sanitized when it comes to reporting what is REALLY going on in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. Every year the the US sends billions of dollars to the Israeli government and yet turns a blind eye to the Israeli blockades, sanctions towards the people in Gaza and the continued bulldozing and illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinan land.
