* "HOSTILE" to US "interests"?

President Obama has renewed sanctions on Sudan... and his reasoning is?...."These actions and policies are hostile to US interests and pose a continuing unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States."

HOSTILE to US "interests"?.. Sudan is an "unusual and extraordinary THREAT" to the US?

Exactly what are the US "interests" in Sudan? Perhaps Sudan's extraordinary oil and natural resources? WHICH US companies want more of a foot hold in that country?

Have Americans forgotten the ongoing struggle and deaths of the millions of people in Darfur... people in Darfur who have endured horrible human rights abuses against them by Sudanese military, janjaweed, militia groups fighting against rebel groups? AND the US government is more concerned with Sudan hurting US "interests"? Absolutely pitiful.

As aways.. Follow the money....

Sudan is "hostile to US interests."
