* Hidden agenda Yemen

                      Yemen, behind al-Qaeda scenarios

For the past couple of months the international community has watched the increased American involvement in Yemen. The US is supporting the corrupt Yemeni government with money, war toys and military training. But it seems fighting two wars at the same time is not enough for the American waraholics. Got to plan where that NEXT never-ending "war on terror" will be. Yemen seems to be the next country on the list.

The US played a part in the recent bombing attacks in Yemen. Innocent people, including women and children, were killed. As if on cue on Dec 25, Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian with supposed connections to Yemeni al-Qaeda, attempts to bomb a plane headed for Detroit. As if on cue, on Dec 29, Somali pirates hijacked a  British-flagged tanker in the Gulf of Aden. Gulf of Aden? How convenient. Both Yemen and Somalia have borders on the Gulf of Aden... and to come to think about it, Somali is on the waraholic list of future war sites too.

The area between Yemen and Somalia is a HUGE geopolitical interest to the US. Bab el-Mandab is an area of the Gulf of Aden that connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden. "Oil and other exports from the Persian Gulf must pass through Bab el-Mandab before entering the Suez Canal."

"An excuse for a US or NATO militarization of the waters around Bab el-Mandab would give Washington another major link in its pursuit of control of the seven most critical oil chokepoints around the world, a major part of any future US strategy aimed at denying oil flows to China, the EU or any region or country that opposes US policy. Given that significant flows of Saudi oil pass through Bab el-Mandab, a US military control there would serve to deter the Saudi Kingdom from becoming serious about transacting future oil sales with China or others no longer in dollars."
(My note: Remember - Saddam switched his oil revenue money from the world standard, American dollars, to the EURO in Nov 2000. Iran swiched it's oil revenue money to the EURO).

"In addition to its geopolitical position as a major global oil transit chokepoint, Yemen is reported to hold some of the world’s greatest untapped oil reserves. Yemen’s Masila Basin and Shabwa Basin are reported by international oil companies to contain "world class discoveries."

My note: The US has MORE than just a perceived fight against al-Qaeda in Yemen.
