* More war toys

                           The Navy's new deadly Trimaran

Forget money for health care, or education, or medical research, or for shelter and food for the needly. The majority of our tax money is spent for more and more war toys. Our tax money is sent as "aid" overseas to countries who turn around and buy their own war toys from the US military industrial complex. Gotta keep the waraholics a'rolling in $$$. Gotta keep those waraholics happy a'rolling in more and more wars to USE their war toys. After all, WAR=Profits. After all, more and more WARS=more and more Profits.

New American war toy: Navy's new deadly trimaran. The Navy wants 55 of these at $208 MILLION each. That comes at a total of $11,440,000,000. They "say" these super duper ships are necessary to fight pirates off of Somalia. But think about it....Instead of the US being the policeman of the world,  why doesn't each privately owned merchant vessel pay for their OWN protective weapon for their OWN ship? Some of the ships that need "protection from pirates" are dumping their country's toxic wastes in the waters off of Somali. Some of the ships that need "protection from pirates" are illegally fishing in waters off of Somali.. in the same areas where poor Somali fishermen are desperately trying to make a living.

Surely we could use some of this tax money at HOME..used for the good of man kind, instead of  purchases of more and more war toys.. war toys to protect "interests."

    "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children... This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."--- President Eisenhower (April 16, 1953)
