*FORCED to support or DIE

                                Afghan women

The fresh US-led offensive against the Taliban in Afghanistan's Helmand province is aimed at forcing the militant group to join the Afghan government, NATO has said.

A total of 15,000 US-led troops and Afghan soldiers launched the "Operation Moshtarak" in the town of Marjah on Saturday weeks after the West and Kabul demanded that Taliban militants become part of Afghan political force.

NATO: offensive to make Taliban join govt. - (Feb 14, 2010)

My thoughts: The Afghanistan puppet President, Hamid Karzai, has periodically tried to reach out to the Taliban and offered them an opportunity to take part in the government.
Karzai calls out to "Taliban Brothers" in victory speech - (Nov 3, 2009)

During the offensive in Helmand Province, going on NOW,  ten civilians were killed today. Seems a rocket hit a house. FIVE civilians were killed on Thursday, right before the offensive officially started on Saturday. Among the five were three women.

During the last 9 years of war in Afghanistan, thousands of civilians have been killed or injured. The MAJORITY of these people had nothing to do with 9/11 or with terrorism. Of course the Afghans want the foreigners OUT of their country. Why would the Afghans or the Taliban support the obviously corrupt Karzai government? How do you think they feel when NATO is FORCING them to support President Karzai's government? Our foreign policy seems to be: If you don't do as we say and start goose-stepping with the corrupt government, we will KILL you.

Puppet President Karzai needs to clean up his OWN house before he expects his country to support him. If the Taliban accepted NATO's and President Karzai's offer to join the government, it would essentially be the end of the war...But NOT the end of the occupation. The troop presence will continue to be required in order to protect the Trans-Afghan Pipeline.

People will continue to ask....What about the Taliban's abuses against the Afghan women? Those same people should be asking.. What about the abuses waged against women all over the world.. and especially in Saudi Arabia, where most of the 9/11 terrorists were from and where women endure abuses too? Abuses against women in Afghanistan was just another "feel good" issue to obtain and keep American's support for the Afghanistan war.
