* Messing with Mother Nature

Maybe one shouldn't mess with Mother Nature. Trying to relieve drought conditions in the northern area of China, Chinese scientists for the second time induced a major snowstorm on top of Bejing (Nov 1).
City weather officials have previously said that such methods are aimed at alleviating a drought over much of north China, including Beijing. This drought has lingered for more than 10 yrs.
"No one can tell how much weather manipulation will change the sky," Xiao Gang, a professor in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told the paper." (1)

This is not the first time China has been warned concerning it's manipulation of Mother Nature. Years before China's Three Gorge Dam construction, scientists from all over the world warned China that the weight of the water on the west side could cause a shifting of the earth. Nevertheless, despite all the warnings, the dam was built...built very close to an earthquake fault line, and as soon as the dam was nearly filled with water on the west side.........
"On the afternoon of May 12, 2008, a 7.9-magnitude earthquake hit Sichuan Province, a mountainous region in Western China, killing about 70,000 people and leaving over 18,000 missing. Over 15 million people lived in the affected area, including almost 4 million in the city of Chengdu." (2)
