Beck said that even individuals who ascribe to his faith (LDS), have fallen into the trap of preaching social justice. “It is a perversion of the gospel” said Beck. (To be completely fair, Beck then goes on to make some convoluted argument about how Jesus would not have approved of the government’s role in health reform, which doesn’t have much to do with Church efforts to help the needy.)

Nonsensical tirades that prey on racial anxieties, like the one Glenn Beck delivered on March 9 about the census underscore part of the reason why 119 advertisers fled his show and why the broadcast of his show in the UK has been without any advertisers for over a month now.
