"Turd Blossom" Karl Rove has lately been making the rounds on the media peddling his book "Courage and Consequence." His crass political spins (lies?) are a sad attempt to rewrite history.
1) He says the Democrats are to blame for voting for the war resolution. (True, but the WAR party should have taken the time to verify ALL issues, doted the "i's" and crossed the "t's" THEMSELVES BEFORE leading their country into a war built on obvious outdated, FAKE, plagiarized "evidence." WAR is SERIOUS.
2) He says Bush received faulty intelligence (No pun intended. Actually - Bush cherry picked the "intelligence" to use to make it appear a "pre-emptive" war was necessary ASAP to prevent "mushroom clouds.")
3) He says war was necessary to make Iraq into an example of emerging democracy in the Middle East. (Sure… it was necessary to kill THOUSANDS of innocent, defenseless Iraqis, who had no connection with 9/11 or terrorism, in order to SAVE them?… "Free" them of their lives?)
Karl Rove refuses to take any personnel responsibility for the horrible, bloody mistakes of the Bush Administration. Obviously he and his fellow waraholics didn't listen to the reasons why MILLIONS of people all over the world PROTESTED the Iraq war. Little coverage in the US media was given to these protests. Anyone in the US who questioned the Bush Administration was quickly labeled "anti-American," "anti-military," and "on the side of the terrorists." The American church leaders quickly labeled those who questioned the Iraq war as "against God's plans."
The UN weapons inspections in Iraq were WORKING. All international eyes were on Saddam Hussein. Saddam was complying with the UN Resolutions. But the UN weapons inspectors were starting to get frustrated. They said that the US intelligence they were given was "garbage after garbage after garbage."
Anyone who took the time before the war to question and look into the issues involving Iraq knew full well that Karl Rove and his fellow waraholics were lying THEN. We know they CONTINUE to lie NOW.
WHY is this war criminal still walking around free? The rest of the world sees how "democracy" works (doesn't work?) in the US. The guilty, especially if you have power and $$$, get off easily even if they are responsible for leading their country into a bloody war built on lies. Turns out Karl Rove's nickname "Turd Blossom" fits him well.
