"TALIBAN commanders have revealed that hundreds of insurgents have been trained in Iran to kill Nato forces in Afghanistan.
The commanders said they had learnt to mount complex ambushes and lay improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which have been responsible for most of the deaths of British troops in Helmand province.
The accounts of two commanders, in interviews with The Sunday Times, are the first descriptions of training of the Taliban in Iran.
According to the commanders, Iranian officials paid them to attend three-month courses during the winter."

My thoughts: The "source" for this story is from "Taliban commanders?" Pitiful. There is no credible evidence to prove this story. This story is similar to previous "stories" that were used to demonize Iraq BEFORE that war. This is an obvious attempt to demonize Iran before a possible false flag terrorist attack… a false flag attack that will be blamed on Iran.
Just recently Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that Russia MAY accede to a sanctions resolution on Iran (emphasis on the "may").
Meanwhile the US is urging Russia to delay the start up date of Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant. (The Russians are helping with the financing and building of this power plant).

Of course "under the table" deals with Russia is still possible. Russia desperately wants to join the World Trade Organization (WTO). Joining the WTO would open markets to Russia, the biggest country outside the 153-country organization, and open Russian markets to WTO member states.
The US may push to get Russia what it wants in order to get what Israel… opps, I mean what the US wants… the closing of Iran's nuclear plant. If this doesn't happen, then expect an attack on Iran before Sept 2010.
Demonizing a country BEFORE attacking it has been used many times. It makes it easy for the US government to obtain American's support for a war, even if that war is built on obvious lies (i.e. Iraq war).
