*Iran hype

                                           Fox screen shot

Fox News currently has an article at the top of its website that is headlined:  "CIA: Iran Moving Closer to Nuclear Weapon."

George Maschke notes, that statement is categorically false.  The actual report, to which the Fox article links and which the DNI was required by Congress to submit, says no such thing.  Rather, this is its core finding:
Iran
Nuclear
We continue to asses Iran is keeping open the option to develop nuclear weapons though we do not know whether Tehran eventually will decide to produce nuclear weapons. Iran continues to develop a range of capabilities that could be applied to producing nuclear weapons. If a decision is made to do so.

*"Father" figures

                           Photo: The Ultimate Father figure/Relijournal

We have religious leaders all over the world representing ALL religions who profess to be holy people of their God, and yet do horrid perverse acts against innocent children. Who preach family values and yet cheat and lie in their married and sexual life. Who turn their eyes and voices away, pretending not to notice by refusing to speak out against obvious wrong doings of their fellow religious leaders.  Some of these wrongdoers say the "devil made me do it," but in reality they mock their God because…. they are HYPOCRITES of their faith.

People tend to put their religious leaders on a pedestal. Some followers proclaim these "righteous" leaders as their mediator "father" between themselves and their heavenly "father." It's human nature to desire a father figure, who will spread their protective arms around them and protect them from the evil of the world...A father figure who will teach them the difference between good and evil.

What happens when these human holy religious authority father figures turn out to be NOT so holy?  Will their followers question the doctrines and theology of their faith? Will there be major changes, or will things go on as normal, be covered up and continue as if nothing happened? One doesn't want to disappoint their authority figures, but what will happen when the authority figures themselves are a disappointment? Only time will tell.

As human beings we are ALLOWED to question ALL authority figures, earthly and spiritual.

*Peak Oil - The REAL reason

                                "Peak OIl" The REAL reason

The big news today was President Obama's "surprise" visit to the troops in Afghanistan. While there he met with the corrupt, puppet  President Hamid Karzai.

"James L. Jones, Obama’s national security advisor, told reporters the president would engage his Afghan counterpart on benchmarks for matters that require attention, such as a initiating a merit-based system for appointment of key government officials, battling corruption, and taking the fight to the country’s drug traffickers, who provide funding for insurgents." (1)

My thoughts: In other words, President Obama instructed Karzai to pay up ($$$) the Taliban whom Karzai hopes to incite to be part of the corrupt Afghanistan government.
The troops have been encouraged to "stay the fight until our goal is completed." In other words, President Obama encouraged them to be happy and feel the rush of patriotism because….they're fighting and dying to keep the pipeline safe unitl it's completed and running.

*TREASON of US Congress?

Treason by members of the US congress

It must have been realised that the letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, signed by nearly 300 members of the U.S. Congress, affirming their commitment to Israel, would be widely publicised and fall into the hands of that illegal Apartheid State, so the writing and signing of that letter should be considered an act of treason.

The letter has totally undermined the power of the President of the United States by virtually telling Israel: "It does not matter what you do to the Palestinians, how many illegal structures you build on the territory you stole from them; how you behave towards the Lebanese, or what you have in mind for Iran, we, the signatories on this letter are with you, all the way."

Nearly 300 Congress members declare commitment to "unbreakable" US - Israel bond - (March 25, 2010)

My thoughts: "Nearly 300" signed? Previous years would have gotten as many as 400. (There are a total of 435 members). Is this a sign that members of Congress are becoming more hawkish towards Israel? Does this indicate that AIPAC has been weaker in it's influence over Congress? Or.. perhaps fewer members of the US Congress are receiving less bribes.. oops.. I mean "contributions"?  Interesting…..

*Israel "No peace"

Sheikh Jerakh - March 26, 2010)

The settlement in east Jerusalem continues.
Another settlement in Sheikh Jarrah was granted a building permit. The settler organizations want to turn another site in the neighborhood, the Shepard Hotel, into a settlement.
The Israeli government is leading a violent and dangerous process of judaizing East Jerusalem whose only purpose is to prevent a future peace agreement.

Points of tension in Jerusalem

2 Pisgat Zeev: 600 homes approved for publication and planning objections in Jan 2010

*Have a nice world war, folks

                               Image: Jared Rodriguez/truthout
John Pilger: Here is news of the Third World War. The United States has invaded Africa. US troops have entered Somalia, extending their war front from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Yemen and, now, the Horn of Africa. In preparation for an attack on Iran, American missiles have been placed in four Persian Gulf states, and “bunker-buster” bombs are said to be arriving at the US base on the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
In Gaza, the sick and abandoned population, mostly children, is being entombed behind underground American-supplied walls in order to reinforce a criminal siege. In Latin America, the Obama administration has secured seven bases in Colombia, from which to wage a war of attrition against the popular democracies in Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay. Meanwhile, the Secretary of “Defense” Robert Gates complains that “the general [European] public and the political class” are so opposed to war they are an “impediment” to peace. Remember this is the month of the March hare.
According to an American general, the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan is not so much a real war as a “war of perception.” Thus, the recent “liberation of the city of Marja” from the Taliban’s “command and control structure” was pure Hollywood. Marja is not a city; there was no Taliban command and control. The heroic liberators killed the usual civilians, poorest of the poor. Otherwise, it was fake. A war of perception is meant to provide fake news for the folks back home, to make a failed colonial adventure seem worthwhile and patriotic, as if “The Hurt Locker” were real, and parades of flag-wrapped coffins through the Wiltshire town of Wooten Basset were not a cynical propaganda exercise.
“War is fun,” the helmets in Vietnam used to say with bleakest irony, meaning that if a war is revealed as having no purpose other than to justify voracious power in the cause of lucrative fanaticisms, such as the weapons industry, the danger of truth beckons. This danger can be illustrated by the liberal perception of Tony Blair in 1997 as one “who wants to create a world [where] ideology has surrendered entirely to values” (Hugo Young, the Guardian) compared with today’s public reckoning of a liar and war criminal.
Western war states such as the US and Britain are not threatened by the Taliban or any other introverted tribesmen in faraway places, but by the antiwar instincts of their own citizens. Consider the draconian sentences handed down in London to scores of young people who protested Israel’s assault on Gaza in January last year. Following demonstrations in which paramilitary police “kettled” (corralled) thousands, first-offenders have received two and a half years in prison for minor offences that would not normally carry custodial sentences. On both sides of the Atlantic, serious dissent exposing illegal war has become a serious crime.

*President Obama dodges

Helen Thomas on her one question for President Obama

Helen Thomas is the longest-serving member of the American press corps. She says that President Obama lost credibility with his answer to her question: "Mr President, do you know of any country in the Middle East that has nuclear weapons?"
President Obama knows the answer. The answer is public knowledge. Israel has nuclear weapons. As seen here, President Obama dodged the question. Israel is not a signatory of the non-proliferation agreement. The billions of dollars of US tax money given to Israel is illegal under US law.

The foreign Assistance Act of 1961 -- amended by the Symington Amendment (Section 669 of FAA) in 1976.  This Act bans US economic and military assistance and export credits to countries that deliver or receive, acquire or transfer nuclear enrichment technology when they do not comply with IAEA regulations and inspections.

This provision, amended, is now also contained in Section 101 of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA).

Glenn Amendment (Section 670) was later adopted in 1977, and provided the same sanctions against countries that acquire or transfer nuclear reprocessing technology or explode or transfer a nuclear device.  This provision, as amended, is now contained in Section 102 of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA).

*Newt justifying violence

Since Congress’s health care debate, lawmakers have received countless death threats, had their buildings vandalized, have had white powder mailed to their offices, and have had to get police protection

Yesterday (March 25), former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA).. at a press conference in Atlanta organized to air Republican opposition to the health care bill that just passed. At one point, Gingrich was asked about the death threats and vandalism lawmakers who supported the bill have been receiving.
GINGRICH: Just as there was no place for the kind of viciousness against Bush and Cheney, there’s no place for viciousness against Democrats…..I think the Democratic leadership has to take some moral responsibility for having behaved with such arrogance, in such a hostile way, that the American people are deeply upset….I think the Democratic leadership has to take some real responsibility for having run a machine that used corrupt tactics, that bought votes, that bullied people, and as a result has enraged much of the American people. And I think it’d be nice for President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Majority Leader Reid to take some responsibility over what their actions have done to this country.
Read the entire article at:
Gingrich says Democrats "have to take some moral responsibility" - (March 26, 2010)

My thoughts: President Bush, his Administration, the Republican "war party," including waraholics like Newt Gingrinch, along with the Democrats who goose-stepped along with them, started an illegal, "pre-emptive," war built with lies. Isn't it about time Newt Gingrich call THEM out for THEIR WAR CRIMES? Shouldn't they, including himself, take some real responsibility for using corrupt tactics to start an illegal war… A war that has killed THOUSANDS of innocent, defenseless people who had NOTHING to do with terrorism or with 9/11?… A war that has resulted in the deaths of (as of today) 4,704 coalition troops. Among that number, 4,386 American men and women killed for LIES? Talk about being completely in denial! Hard to believe Newt Gingrich is called the "conservatives intellectual."

Newt Gingrich: Government should allow some (more) terror attacks to remind us

Back in 1994, Susan Smith strapped her two sons into her Mazda and let it roll into a lake, drowning them. She had been having an affair, but the man she had been having it with didn't want her children. Newt Gingrich had this to say about her crime:

"I think the mother killing her two children in South Carolina vividly reminds every American how sick society is getting and how much we have to have change," he said at the time. "I think people want to change, and the only way you can get change is to vote Republican." Gingrich: The Democrats are blamed for Susan Smith's crimes!
Newt Gingrich's extramarital affairs have been public knowledge for years. He frequently campaigned on family values issues. Better late than never, Newt Gingrich scandal

My thoughts: Republican spokesman and "intellectual" Newt Gingrich is calling for more insane violence and rage by trying to justify the HATE he and his fellow party members feel after their defeat.

*Another "Gulf of Tonkin"?

Group of anti-war activists gathered near a US military base in Seoul to protest the drill (EPA)

A few notes concerning recent events with South and North Korea:

(1) Thousands of troops from the US and South Korea have begun 10 days of joint military exercises, despite threats of reprisals from North Korea which has denounced the annual drill as a rehearsal for invasion. US and South Korea begin war games - (March 8, 2010)

(2) North Korea is threatening to unleash "unprecedented nuclear strikes" against South Korea and the U.S. as those two countries prepare for possible instability in the totalitarian communist state. North Korea threatens nuclear strikes on US , South Korea  - (March 26, 2010)

(3) Word that a South Korean naval ship sank in the tense waters around the disputed maritime border with communist North Korea set off panic: The president convened an emergency meeting and the military dispatched a fleet of ships.
Five hours later, 58 sailors had been pulled to safety but some 40 others were missing, reports said. There was no indication early Saturday that North Korea was to blame for the ship's demise, but troops kept a vigilant watch.
Seoul's panic attack — hours after North Korea's military threatened "unpredictable strikes" against the U.S. and South Korea — highlighted the fragility of peace on the divided Korean peninsulaSouth Korean naval ship sinks near North Korea; 40 missing  - (March 26, 2010)
(4) South Korea's navy opened fire Friday at an unidentified ship in the Yellow Sea near the North Korean border after one of its own ships was sunk, Yonhap news agency said.

(5) A defense ministry official later said that the unidentified object the vessel had fired at on Friday night near the western sea border that divides the two Koreas may well have been a flock of birds. Initial fears that North Korea might be to blame caused ripples on Wall Street, where share prices dipped partly on geopolitical concerns, and the South Korean won dropped against the dollar. "It is premature to discuss the cause of this sinking," presidential Blue House spokeswoman Kim Eun-hye told Reuters early on Saturday. "It is not clear whether North Korea was involved." The Joint Chiefs of Staff also said it could not conclude that the reclusive North was behind the attack. Yonhap news agency quoted a presidential official as saying satellite pictures and other information showed no sign of the North Korean military in the area at the time of the sinking. South Korean navy ship sinks, North link played down - (March 26, 2010)
(6) Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou ordered Defence Minister Kao Hwa-chu to initiate the national security mechanism to monitor developments in the wake of the sinking of a South Korean patrol boat by a North Korean navy vessel off Baengnyeong Island west of North Korea Friday evening. Taiwan president calls security alert after Korean clash - (March 27, 2010)

(7) Flash back: The Obama administration announced an arms sales package to Taiwan worth $6 billion (Jan 2010). With this, the US leveled a direct strike at the heart of the most sensitive diplomatic issue between China and the US. China’s immediate, and outraged, reaction — cancellation of some military exchanges and announcement of punitive sanctions against American companies — demonstrates, China experts said, that Beijing is feeling a little burned, particularly because the Taiwan arms announcement came on the same day that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton publicly berated China for not taking a stronger position on holding Iran accountable for its nuclear program. - With arms for Taiwan, US sends Beijing a message -  ( Jan 31, 2010)

My thoughts: Connect the dots…..This could turn out to be an attempted "Gulf of Tonkin" type false flag attack.

*Heads up?

                                         LukOil Logo at: TopNews.in
"Russia's largest private oil major said it was suspending an oil project in Iran because of U.S. pressure.
The LUKoil company issued a statement on Wednesday saying it had stopped further work on the Anaran project “because of the economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. government.” It blamed the sanctions for a loss of some $63 million last year and said it feared more losses if it continued to carry on the project.
The Anaran field, with estimated oil reserves of 2 billion barrels, was operated by a consortium of Norwegian StatoilHydro (75 per cent) and LUKoil Overseas (25 per cent). LUKoil Overseas head Stanislav Kuzyev has clarified that his company retains its rights in the project and would be ready to return “under more favourable economic situation.”
LUKoil has 1,600 petrol filling stations in the U.S. and last year announced plans to build an oil refinery in the U.S. These investments would be vulnerable to tough sanctions the U.S. imposed on international energy companies operating in Iran.
The news of the LUKoil pullout came hours after a senior Russian diplomat said “clouds are gathering” over Tehran's reluctance to accept a United Nations offer to replace fuel for an atomic reactor."

My thoughts: Sounds like LUKoil has the heads up for an attack in Iran.

*Similar bill?

In November, 1993, Sen. John Chafee, R-R.I., introduced what was considered to be one of the main Republican health overhaul proposals: "A bill to provide comprehensive reform of the health care system of the United States."
Titled the "Health Equity and Access Reform Today Act of 1993," it had 21 co-sponsors, including two Democrats (Sens. Boren and Kerrey). The bill, which was not debated or voted upon, was an alternative to President Bill Clinton's plan.  It bears similarity to the Democratic bill passed by the Senate Dec. 24, 2009, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
To read a summary of the Republican bill: Summary of a 1993 Republican health reform plan
My thoughts: Both the Republican health care bill of 1993 and the Democrat bill sound similar. This proves the Republican opposition to the Democrat bill is only PARTY POLITICS.

*Chess game move

                 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered another angry rebuke to the Obama Administration over the settlement expansion which stalled the US brokered indirect peace talks.

Netanyahu declared that thesettlements in occupied East Jerusalem weren’t technically settlements at all, because “everyone knows” that Jerusalem will be the eternal and undivided capital of Israel. Israel invaded and occupied East Jerusalem in 1967, along with the rest of the West Bank, and its legal control over the territory has never been established in international law.

But this did not stop Netanyahu from declaring that Israel had been “unjustly accused of not wanting peace” because of the settlement expansion, which killed the peace talks. Netanyahu insisted that his government has consistently shown a commitment to peace “from day one” and that it was only the Palestinians who were holding up the process."

Read the entire article at:
Netanyahu rebukes Obama in AIPAC speech - (March 23, 2010)

My thoughts: This is obviously a chess game move. The REAL reason why Netanyahu came all the way to the US to meet with Obama today was all about Iran. Israel wants America's support for an attack before Sept 2010.

Israel's refuses to stop the continued building of illegal ILLEGAL settlements. President Obama "appears" upset with Israel in order to neutralize the anger over this situation from Arab countries.

*Hypocrite Rep. Neugebauer

While Bart Stupak was speaking to Congress Sunday night, Republican Rep Randy Neugebauer yelled out "baby killer." Neugebauer has apologized but continues "to speak with the same passion that I spoke last night."
"Not only did we see the government takeover of your health care, but we saw the lives of unborn children used as a bargaining chip to somehow get the needed votes to pass this legislation," he said. "I spoke very passionately because I believed what was going on was not right for America. I'm never going to quit speaking on behalf of the unborn," he said."
My thoughts: Randy, Randy, Randy… How come you didn't "speak out" when America's million dollar "smart bombs" were being thrown on the Iraqi people? You can't pretend NOW you speak on the behalf of the unborn when you didn't do so for the unborn in Iraq. You've just proved that YOU are a hypocrite. YOU supported that illegal  war. YOU have the blood on YOUR hands for the THOUSANDS innocents killed that war.
Following is a repeat of my post dated Jan 18, 2010 but in the light of Rep Neugebauer's antics, it needs to be repeated. My post was titled:"Anti-abortion activist."
Ali Ismaeil Abbas was 12 yrs old when an American million dollar "smart bomb" fell onto his house in Badgdad, killing 16 members of his family. Both Ali's arms were blown off. Most of his body was burnt. His father was killed. His pregnant mother was killed. The BABY in her womb was killed. People "say" they're against abortion, but where were all those anti-abortion people BEFORE the war started? Isn't war all about KILLING?  Did they help protest the Iraq BEFORE it started? Why would people think unborn American babies are MORE precious in God's eyes than Iraqi unborn babies? No one likes the thought of sucking out brains from  unborn babies. Neither should a person delight in dropping bombs on the heads of pregnant mothers.

*Bigots

Photo from Sept 12 Tea Bagger protest

SHOCKING behavior yesterday in DC!  As members of Congress walked to their offices, Tea Party people, protesting the Health Care bill, angrily shouted racist, derogatory rants.

"A staffer for Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) told reporters that Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) had been spat on by a protestor. Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), a hero of the civil rights movement, was called a 'ni--er.' And Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) was called a "faggot," as protestors shouted at him with deliberately lisp-y screams."
Read more at:
Tea Party protests: "Ni**er," "Fa**ot" shouted at members of Congress - (March 20, 2010)

My thoughts:  It's been obvious for a while that the majority of members of the Tea Party movement are not REALLY angry with bills that may or not pass, the taxes, or if whether or not we can AFFORD improved health in this country, or the Constitution, etc....If THAT were the case, then they would have raised their voices during the Bush Administration. Why get angry NOW and not THEN?..

Because it's all about HATRED. These people attempt to express their anger under the guise of patriotism but they continue to prove that they are BIGOTS. They are just plain angry that a BLACK man is now President of the US. Perhaps they would feel more comfortable with a group they have more in common with.. like the KKK? And while we're at it, throw the ridiculous "birthers" in with these obnoxious Tea Bagger people too!

We can't continue to ignore obvious racism and prejudice.
Dale Robertson, self-described "President and Founder of the Tea Party," holding his sign
