With President Obama's recent announcement of a troop "surge" in Afghanistan, he has managed to anger almost EVERYONE in one swell swoop. The waraholics, who normally would LOVE a troop surge anytime, anywhere, are complaining that the war is already lost because the decision took TOO long. They're saying that the number for American troops (30,000) is too small (perhaps a draft would make them happy instead?). They're saying setting the date for withdrawal is dangerous. That the Taliban will wait it out and come out later after troop withdrawal (wasn't THAT always the case?).
He disappointed the anti-war people. They say more and more Afghan civilians will be in the line of danger. They say expect more troop causalities, more body bags. They say it's impossible to defeat terrorism by military means.....much less an escalation of war... so why continue the quagmire?
The ONLY ones gleeful over President Obama's announcement are the military industrialists....the private mercenaries, the banks and overseas countries who will make millions in loan interests, the companies who need security for their precious gem stone mining, the heroin dealers and users, and finally, but not least, the oil and gas tycoons who need security forces who are willing to kill and be killed.. for a pipeline.
